SOMEONE ASKED ME TO UPLOAD A QUICK VIDEO OF THE EQUIPMENT I USE SO HERE IT IS.
NOTHING TOO FANCY, ALL HOME DONE, TAKEN FROM MY OLD AQUARIUM WITH FEW UPGRADES, BUT IF IT WORKS WHY MESS WITH IT.
I ALLWAYS BOUGHT EQUIPMENT OVERRATED FOR MY SMALL TANK AS I NEW I WOULD UPGRADE SOMEDAY.
TANK IS ALL ONE CURVED GLASS PIECE 100 OR SO GALLONS.
80 LITRE HOME MADE SUMP WITH REFUGIUM COMPARTMENT CONTAINING CAULERPA.
300 WATT HEATER IN SUMP. MAY UPGRADE TO 500 WATT OR ADD ANOTHER DEPEND ON RUNNING COSTS. LIGHTS KEEP TEMP WELL UP AND TAKES LONG TIME FOR TEMP DROP IN SUCH LARGE VOLUME OF WATER.
CIRCULATION PUMP IS AN AQUA MEDIC OCEAN RUNNER 6500 USED WITH AN 7000 LPH OVERFLOW BOX AND A PUMP TO KEEP SIPHON ACTIVATED
4 X 54 WATT T5 LIGHTING 2 MARINE WHITE AND 2 ACTINIC. COME ON AND OFF BETWEEN DUSK DAWN SIMULATOR.
2 X 40 WATT T8 MARINE WHITE TUBES CONTROLLED BY EXXO TERRA LIGHT CYCLE UNIT FOR DUSK DAWN SIMULATION.
LED MOONLIGHTS TURN ON WHEN MAIN LIGHTS OFF.
REFUGIUM LIGHT ON WHEN MAIN LIGHTS OFF.
SKIMMER IS AN INSTANT OCEAN 800.
PH METER.
FLUVAL 205 EXTERNAL FILTER FOR PHOSPHATE REMOVER MATERIAL AND ACTIVATED CARBON.
SOMETIMES I ALSO PUT SOME FILTER WOOL IN FOR A FEW DAYS TO CLEAN OUT THE DIATOMS.
EXTRA CIRCULATION PROVIDED BY RESUN WAVEMAKER.
ALL IN ONE TIMER TO CONTROL THE ABOVE.
AS YOU CAN SEE ITS NOT ALL THE MOST EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT AND GADGETS AVAILABLE BUT IT SEEMS TO WORK FOR ME.
HAS DONE SO FOR OVER 2 YEARS ON SMALLER TANK SO HOPEFULLY WILL BE OK ON THIS ONE.
DONT REALLY ADD MUCH EXTRA TO THE TANK JUST KALKWASSER EVERY SO OFTEN AND DOSE VITAMIN C WITH TOP OFF WATER.

Here are my two new babies at six and a half weeks old. They are black mollies and are about 3/4″ long. Notice the row of quarters near the aquarium to compare how small they are. I’m a new aquarium enthusiast and was so surprised to have these tiny little fish born in my very first aquarium! Right now, they live in a one gallon tank with a “baby hide-out” which is an artificial grass hiding place for the fry. An Asian style miniature bridge is also in the aquarium for hiding and swimming through. 
This is my new lighting setup. Its two 250w Metal Halides with two 80w T-5 actinics. The noise are my extremely loud fans.

my First freshwater aquarium.. mostly goldfish because they are a dirty fiush and are a cheap way to start out your tank into its cycle.. also are one marble angel and a banded angel, oh yeah and a bala shark.

A tutorial on how to add real fish to your aquarium. I have WA adventures so I don’t know if it will or won’t work without it, but if you have the basement update I would think it would work just fine. Others have already made tutorials on aquariums(including Amoebius), but none that I have seen included fish. So here it is and have fun! And it might be long but don’t complain! Just imagine how long it took for me to figure this out and make the thing…
